New Sounds for your Earholes!

What up rockers! It’s mid-April and we’ve already got 3 new songs tucked under our camo belt so far this year! You can hear the latest polished demos of “Bathtub”, “She Likes Black”, and “Forgive” on our Soundcloud page and on our Facebook wall.

Please take a moment to visit our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/mojosarmyband) and answer the question I posted there which will determine the next song we work on. Should be an easy one: which of our three recent demo releases do you like best?

We do have one more song coming very soon, the retooled “No Right” which I’ve been kicking around for some time. I rewrote the verses and have reworked the vocal part to the point where I think you’re really going to like it. It’s got one of my favorite guitar solos too, short, sweet & slightly off-kilter… kinda like some people I know!

In the meantime I’m off to play with my new little tube amp and see what I can come up with. Have a rockin week!

Mojo’s Pick of the Week: Thirteen Seven

The music of Edinburgh’s Thirteen Seven is a chewy, nutty candy bar of hooks and riffs that calls Muse to mind as much as it does Stone Temple Pilots. This power trio released their first album “Illuminated” earlier this year and are currently riding a wave of great reviews. Hear them now on the band’

Mojo’s Pick of the Week: Zepparella

Zepparella – San Francisco’s own all-girl tribute to the mighty Led Zeppelin, comprised of former members of Bottom and A/C-DShe (Clementine on drums, Gretchen Menn on guitar, Nila Minnerok on bass, and fronted by Anna Kristina). What can I say about these incredible women? They are extremely talented, extremely hard working, very cool and quite easy on the eyes to boot. I’ve seen them several times and frankly I think they do Zeppelin better than Zeppelin. Their passion for the songs, their raw talent, and their camaraderie is so infectious that you’ll be smitten as soon as they take the stage. They are rockin Petaluma’s legendary Mystic Theatre this Saturday night with the always-energetic Dave Rude Band. Hope to see you there!
